Enjoying the Sunshine

Sections: Hikes, Photos — Posted @ 8:37 pm

Aliciana and I decided to escape from unpacking our new apartment and enjoy some of the sunshine. We met up with Nick and Jessie, and took a small hike in the Arboretum. It was hard to believe we were still in the middle of a large metropolitan city while we were walking around the park.

Hiking Reservoir Canyon

Sections: Hikes — Posted @ 8:52 pm

Today Aliciana and I went for a hike on the Reservoir Canyon trail. This trail is located right before you start climbing up the Cuesta grade coming from San Luis Obispo. It is about 0.5 miles down Reservoir Canyon Road off of Highway 101. It is a nice and easy hike, only 2.8 miles long, and a 200 foot elevation gain. We didn’t see much wild life, just some lizards and a few fish, but it was still a beautiful area to walk through. Photos of our hike are available in the photo album.
