I released a new version of my secure password generator for Linux. The major improvement for this release was rewriting the menu bar code to use the new GTK UIManager API.

I have finally gotten around to releasing a new version of Gnome Password Generator, my little utility to generate secure random passwords.
Special thanks to Steve Tyler, who submitted improvements including the ability to select different character sets and the use of urandom entropy if available.
Hopefully I won’t let another 3 years go by before I add some of my own improvements.

I released version 1.1 of Gnome Blosxom today, which fixes several outstanding bugs. Gnome Blosxom is the program I wrote for posting blog entries to a Blosxom based weblog. Since I don’t personally use this program anymore (I now run WordPress), I am looking for a developer to adopt this project. If you are interested, drop me an email.

RPMs are now available from Gnome Blosxom through Dag’s RPM repository. For those who don’t know, Gnome Blosxom is my Gnome based program for posting to a Blosxom based blog. In fact, I am using it right now to post this entry. Special thanks to Dag for building the RPMs and putting Gnome Blosxom in his repository!

Gnome Blosxom is a software application that allows the user to post entries to a Blosxom based weblog. I personally use the program to write this blog everyday. Blosxom is a great weblog server that is available at www.blosxom.com.
Gnome Blosxom automatically hands the process of uploading each post to the web server and getting the file in the right directory for the category. The program also features spell checking, formating of text, and link insertion. Take a look at the screenshots or try it out yourself!
I released version 1.4 of Gnome Password Generator today. For those who have not heard of this project, it is a Gnome based program that generates random and secure passwords of a specified length. My newest project, Gnome Blosxom, is coming along nicely. In fact, I am posting this entry with the program right now. I should be able to make the first public release next week. Keep an eye on my blog for further details.
I am currently working on a project called Gnome Blosxom. It is going to be a Gnome based blogging tool that will handle writing the blog and uploading it to the Blosxom data directory. I know there are already a couple good blogging tools out there for Gnome but none of them work with Blosxom. I decided that posting to Blosxom is a significantly different process than the other blogging interfaces and therefore would be served best with its own separate tool. Plus, it is easier for a user just to have a tool specifically designed for his blogging needs.
Once I get the tool to some sort of usable state I will put the project up on SourceForge. Hopefully, a lot of users will give me some good feedback and some developers will send me patches. I will keep everyone posted on the project’s status through my blog.
