Gavin won a character award from Turtleback for “fairness”, which Aliciana was able to see him get awarded. Every month, the principal awards students who represent one of Turtleback’s character pillars.

Connor gave out Valentine’s Day robots this year in his preschool class. Here they are gathered the day before his party, plotting a takeover of the house.

Pictures taken by Aliciana of the preschoolers having a blast at their party. They made heart shaped pancakes with strawberries, as well as doing other fun crafts.

Connor and I had some one-on-one time together at the Safari Park. I was too busy trying to keep track of Connor to take many photos (it was just me and him) but we had a blast exploring the park together.

The Reuben H. Fleet has a great new exhibit about stem cells the boys really enjoyed learning from. Maybe they will grow up to be scientists?

For the science fair this year, Gavin experimented with various objects to investigate which properties impact how fast they fall (not in a vacuum). He won an honorable mention… good job little scientist Bub!

All the San Diego family gathered at Mando’s house in Highland to celebrate Grandpa Walo’s 21st birthday party. He has been celebrating his 21st birthday every year since I have known him. Best we can tell, he really turned 88, but he hasn’t been his real age for so long that no one can quite remember 😉

Photos 2-6 are of the boys taking pictures of each other using mine and Ross’ (Mando’s brother-in-law) cameras. Luckily, they managed to get a few good shots without dropping the cameras.

Gavin won an honorable mention for his science fair project about gravity. Good job Bub!

It was opening day for Little League. Gavin is in the “Single A” level again this year, and on a new team. Most of his team from last year moved up to “Double A”, where he will join them next year.

Aliciana got up bright and early to take a few photos of the opening day ceremony. Then we were all on hand later in the day to watch Gavin’s first game.

There were beautiful sights to see at the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. There was a ton of people there but, once we found parking, the beautiful trees were worth it.

Aliciana took some photos at Connor’s first soccer practice. He is so excited to play soccer and had a blast! The little boys got to pick their team name: Go Ninja Tigers!
